At C&A, we recognize that data is only valuable if it is trustworthy, easy to find and understand, and fit for its intended purpose. This all starts with qualitative Master Data on our Products, Suppliers, Locations and Customers. The Product Manager – Master Data will work alongside a cross functional team of data engineers, business experts and data governance managers to develop products that will enable our business teams to take full control over the quality of their master data. This is a pivotal role in driving the strategy, development, and launch of data-driven products that will enable us to put qualitative master data at the core of efficient operations and faster time to actionable insights.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Value delivery: You understand, shape and address the data needs of business departments and local markets, collaborating with peers and stakeholders to understand business problems and define solutions that deliver the highest value for data consumers and the business alike.
  • Product Roadmap: You translate needs and opportunities into a prioritized and actionable roadmap, ensuring the needs are well understood by our data product teams.
  • Ownership: You own the prioritization of your backlog and the discovery of strategic opportunities. You empower your team by providing roadmaps and epics that enable a consistent delivery within a context of high alignment and high autonomy. You ensure the proper functionality of your application and all its related workflows & processes, which also includes IT security and data compliance.
  • Value Creation measurement: you define, measure, and optimize the value delivered by data products by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking data product performance to inform continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: you build strong partnerships with data engineering, data governance and business teams to ensure alignment and efficient product development.
  • Communication: You ensure a constant communication flow about status of the development and initiatives to main stakeholders, dependent squads, offering transparency and communicating achievements and value creation.
  • Vendor Management: You manage close vendor relationships, foster smooth and transparent workflows, ensure service level agreements are met including budget. You also support our IT department with contracting.
  • Training/Documentation: You ensure a proper documentation of your applications/solutions features and continuously train new and existing users, promoting data-driven decision making and fostering a data-centric culture
  • Innovation: You keep up to date with industry trends and explore new and innovative ways to translate data into value and great products

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Relevant experience in solution, application or product management, preferably in the digital space, where you demonstrated a deep understanding of the software development cycle.
  • Experience working within or alongside a data team and deploying data solutions at scale is a big plus.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with technical as well as non-technical stakeholders and engage in constructive and collaborative relationships with teammates, business users and external vendors.
  • Passion for enabling others with data, and proven ability to utilize analytical skills to drive evidence-based application development.
  • Proficiency in SQL, and autonomy on data analysis, manipulation and visualization.
  • Familiarity with data management concepts is a big plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and features simultaneously.
  • Ability to engage with both strategic planning and hands-on execution
