The "Network Operations" department organizes network solutions for the transport management of parcels between European countries as well as in the global cross-border environment. We are looking for someone to develop, implement, and manage innovative air transport solutions for the global eCommerce B2C market.
Global Air Freight Network Manager (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities
- Management of Global Air Freight Projects. Drive the development of air freight networks for eCommerce B2C, focusing on innovative designs and routing optimization.
- Continuous Evaluation and Improvement of Global Air Freight Networks. Assess and enhance air freight networks and performance, adapting designs to market changes and collaborating with external partners to harmonize processes.
- Selection and Management of External Air Transport Providers. Select, negotiate, and monitor external air transport providers, conducting market analyses and benchmarking costs to ensure optimal partnerships while tracking performance against defined KPIs.
- Compliance Assurance for Air Freight Networks. Ensure regulatory compliance of air freight networks, addressing customs and security requirements in collaboration with the internal Customs and Trade Law department.
- Participation in Network Design and Optimization Projects. Contribute to global and local end-to-end network design and optimization projects, leading sub-projects by structuring tasks, managing timelines, and communicating with international stakeholders.
- Establishment of Reporting and Data Analysis Framework. Develop and implement a reporting and data analysis structure, creating dashboards and management reports to visualize KPIs, monitor transport operations in real time, and identify supply chain issues.
Your profile
- Degree in Logistics, Air Traffic Management, Supply Chain Management, Transport Planning, or a related qualification.
- Several years of experience in international logistics with a focus on air freight, cross-border eCommerce/B2C transportation, as well as air network planning, flow optimization, and cost control in complex transport networks.
- Knowledge of international air transport providers, rate structures, bidding processes, and customs and transport compliance processes.
- Proficient in data analysis tools and experienced in project management, ideally in an international context.
- Analytical and structured thinking with a self-directed, solution-oriented approach
- Strong communication and persuasion skills in interdisciplinary and international contexts
- Flexibility with willingness to travel internationally (up to 25%)
- Fluent in English; German language skills are desirable.
