The research group of Jun.-Prof. Dr. Johannes Walker, Institute of Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen welcomes applications for the position of
Ph.D. position (all genders welcome)
with a limited contract of three years according to the salary level E 13 TV-L (50 %). This position is to start at the earliest opportunity.
Your duties
Perform research within the research group of Jun.-Prof. Dr. Johannes Walker on the synthesis of bridged bicyclic compounds.
Your profile
A Master degree in Organic Chemistry.
Previous experience of multistep organic synthesis would be desirable.
Previous experience of homogeneous catalysis and/or photocatalysis would also be advantageous.
Detailed expertise in analytical and spectroscopic tools, namely NMR, XRD, IR, UV-Vis, MS.
Very good language skills in English and/or German.
