1 PhD Position in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry (part-time 65 %, Salary Scale E 13 TV-L) Reference No.: 2025/092. The start date is July 2025 or later. The position is available for initially 3 years. The working language is German and English. The University of Konstanz is one of eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany. We are looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate holding a Master's degree in Biological Science or Life Sciences (e.g., Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or Biochemistry) who is interested in conducting cutting-edge research at the Department of Biology at the Excellence University of Konstanz, Germany. The research of this position majorly deals with proteotoxic stress related to human neuro-degenerative diseases such as Chorea Huntington, Alzheimers’ or Parkinsons’ using Caenorhabditis elegans as animal model system. As part of the Deuerling group, you will join a team internationally recognized for its pioneering contributions and its long-standing expertise in proteostasis research.
