The Faculty of Economics and Management seeks to fill the following vacancy at the Chair of Management Science: # Research Associate (PostDoc) (m/f/d) in the field of Business Analytics Salary scale: **13 TV-L** Date commencing: 01.04.2025 Fixed term (until): **30 months** Contract status: **100 %** We are a university with a focus on engineering and natural sciences as well as economics, human sciences and medicine. We develop data-driven decision support methods for innovative applications in transport, logistics, and mobility. We are particularly interested in integrating complex information in the decision methods using both mathematical modeling and machine learning. We are well-connected worldwide and leading in our research field. ## Who we are looking for: You hold a Master’s degree and a PhD in business administration, industrial engi-neering or business information systems. You already have profound knowledge in mathematical modeling, stochastic programming, approximate dynamic programming in the areas of transportation and logistics. You have published your work in high quality journals. You have advanced programming skills. You have the required lan-guage skills to communicate your research in English. You are interested in working with international researchers all over the world. Furthermore, you have good analyt-ical skills, you are a team player who can also work independently, and you like solv-ing problems and analyzing solutions. ## What your tasks are: You work in the DFG-funded project on Novel Scenario-Based Policies for Dynamic Multi-Period Inventory Routing Problems. You will develop dynamic models and de-sign fitting methodologies from the fields of stochastic programming and machine learning. You will investigate the functionality of the methodology in extensive com-putational experiments. You will present your research on international conferences and publish it in the respective journals of the field. We are very much looking forward to your application!
