The Faculty of Natural Sciences seeks to fill the following vacancy at the Institute of Psychology: # PhD Student (m/f/d) Cognitive Neuroscience Salary scale: **13 TV-L** Date commencing: next possible date Fixed term (until): **31.12.2028** Contract status: **65 %** We are a university with a focus on engineering and natural sciences as well as economics, human sciences and medicine. The Department of Neuropsychology seeks to fill a PhD student position under the supervision of Prof. Markus Ullsperger and Dr. Jana Tegelbeckers in the project C04 „Restoring neural resources perturbed by sleep deprivation“. The project is part of the interdisciplinary Collaborative Research Center 1436 „Neural Resources of Cognition“ fostering interactions of neuroscientists working on micro-, meso-, and macroscopic scales. The four-year project will apply methods of cognitive neuroscience, specifically fMRI and EEG (also simultaneous), eye-tracking and pupillometry, multivariate pattern classification analyses and computational modeling, and will modulate neural resources of healthy participants using sleep deprivation, focused transcranial ultrasound stimulation, and pharmacological challenges.
