# Employee Scientific Coordination for the LPI (f/m/d) in Jena The Leibniz Centre for Photonics in Infection Research ([LPI](http://lpi-jena.de/)) is a project of the National Roadmap for Research Infrastructures of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research ([BMBF](https://www.bmbf.de/bmbf/en/home/home_node.html)). As one of the supporting institutions of the LPI, the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technologies ([Leibniz-IPHT](https://www.leibniz-ipht.de/)) is looking for a part-time position (50%) as a # Employee Scientific Coordination (f/m/d) at the earliest possible date, limited until December 31, 2026. An extension will be sought if suitable and if project funds are available. The LPI is being established by a consortium of four supporting institutions ([Leibniz-HKI](https://www.leibniz-hki.de/), [Leibniz-IPHT](https://www.leibniz-ipht.de/), [FSU Jena](https://www.uni-jena.de/), [Universitätsklinikum Jena](https://www.uniklinikum-jena.de/)). In future, it will combine photonic technologies with infection research and thus contribute to the development of new methods for diagnosis, monitoring and therapy for human medicine. Research results will be transferred to clinical practice along the entire value chain. The LPI's research program is divided into basic technologies, in which the four supporting institutions jointly address various scientific and technological focal points in an interdisciplinary approach. As a user-open translational infrastructure, LPI makes newly developed demonstrators and methods available to external partners within the framework of joint projects. ## Your tasks: - In-house project management of the basic technologies of the LPI associated with Leibniz IPHT (coordination, controlling and documentation of the basic technologies in cooperation with the respective project managers/responsible persons for the basic technologies at Leibniz IPHT) - Coordination, controlling and documentation of the interfaces to the LPI network partners - Organisation of internal workshops and network meetings - Close cooperation with the coordinators of the basic technologies at Leibniz IPHT and at the partner institutions as well as LPI gGmbH ## Your qualification: Successful Master's degree or PhD in natural/life sciences (biology, physics, chemistry or comparable) ## We expect: - Experience in the university or non-university science sector - Relevant experience in project management - Excellent written and oral communication skills in especially German and English. A language certificate (CV, language certificate - level C1 to a maximum of B2) must be enclosed with the application documents. - High organizational competence - Independent, committed and reliable way of working - High willingness for interdisciplinary cooperation - Very good knowledge of common Office applications and affinity for digital, collaborative work ## We offer: - Your contribution to a globally unique infrastructure: The LPI will be a globally unique infrastructure for the development of market-ready solutions: The LPI closes the gap from application research to marketable products. At LPI, compact devices for the rapid and clear diagnosis of infections and new therapeutic approaches (e.g. with new anti-infectives, cell-based therapies and nanoparticles) are being researched and developed. - World-class equipment and facilities: The Leibniz IPHT offers a large variety of physics, chemistry, and biology labs at highest standards. Moreover, it holds state-of-the-art fiber-drawing and clean-room facilities (incl. lithography units), as well as microfluidics fabrication and big data computing units.
