In the department Shop we focus entirely on the technical development of the BAUHAUS online shop using the latest technologies (Cloud, serverless and event-driven). Our goal is to create a convenient and easy shopping experience for our customers.


YOUR ROLE:

  • As a Data Engineer (m/f/d) in our product team Order Management you are responsible for the implementation of data mappings and design of data flows in an agile environment
  • You develop, operate and monitor ETL processes
  • You automate and accelerate data flows
  • You develop data and analytics platforms further as well as the data warehouse architecture
  • You enable junior team colleagues through coaching and code reviews

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Successfully completed studies in the MINT area or a comparable one with several years of professional experience
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience as Data Engineer (m/f/d) or Software Engineer (m/f/d) with deep understanding of data warehouse architecture, complex data transformation in batch and streaming mode, building and testing resilient data pipelines, with a focus on automation
  • Proficiency in a programming language, such as Python
  • Good knowledge of cloud services (GCP) in the context of data science
  • Familiar with monitoring and alerting systems and incident management e.g. Datadog
  • Very good knowledge of English and ideally good knowledge of German
