As a Lead Product Owner, you will take a leadership role in driving the success of our online business and enhancing our brands' image. You will lead a team and collaborate with an agency-staffed development team to build new websites and implement customer experience-enhancing features for our five brands on an upgraded technology stack.


TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy, aligning it with business goals and user needs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Product Owner and UX/UI, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Software Specification and Development:
  • Oversee the creation and refinement of user stories and epics, ensuring they focus on delivering end-user value.
  • Collaborate with UX to ensure designs are complete and ready for development.
  • Facilitate refinement sessions with the development team, ensuring a shared understanding of requirements and technical feasibility.
  • Ensure completed user stories meet quality standards and align with acceptance criteria.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from stakeholders to inform future requirements and feature enhancements.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle for multiple product lines, coordinating efforts across cross-functional teams including designers, developers, and QA engineers.
  • Maintain and prioritize a comprehensive backlog of features and enhancements, aligning them with business objectives and user needs.
  • Manage and coordinate external dependencies, such as CRM and Marketing Cloud integrations, to ensure timely feature delivery.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, external vendors, and the development team, ensuring clear and effective communication channels.
  • Drive consensus on product decisions, balancing stakeholder needs with technical feasibility and business goals.
  • Secure buy-in on the prioritized backlog from business and brand stakeholders.
  • Transparently communicate expectations, risks, and results, ensuring a healthy feedback loop between the product team and stakeholders.

PROFIL

  • Several years working experience as a Product Owner/Manager (M/W/D) in an agile software environment
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies, software development processes, and JIRA.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles and the ability to collaborate with designers to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces for digital products.
  • Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track product performance and derive insights for continuous improvement.
  • Deep understanding of the sporting goods and apparel industries, including familiarity with the products, customer needs, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
  • English language skills are a must, German and Italian nice to have
