Global Power Sourcing Manager (m/f/d)

Your mission The part you’ll play:

To strengthen our team we are looking for an experienced Global Power Sourcing Manager (m/f/d) as Single Point of Contact to develop and implement the global power sourcing / hedging strategy in all markets of EDRI.

Successful candidates (m/f/d) have a strong knowledge of the European energy market with focus on power and the ability to work with teams in an agile and innovative environment demanding quick reaction and abstraction capabilities. We have a flat hierarchy and you will report directly to the CFO. This position is a hybrid position with a mix of home office and on-site at our office in Essen, Germany.

Some examples of your daily tasks:

• Develop and implement a power sourcing and hedging strategy of power regarding all EDRI entities in our nine European operating markets.
• Continuous monitoring of power (consumption, price, etc.) as well as strategic and ad-hoc hedging of power volumes
• Leverage the existing suppliers or develop new suppliers.
• Continue to shape a dispatch optimization, which entails battery storage, chargers and solar production.
• Support risk management functions with frameworks and reporting.
• Evaluate additional energy provision related revenue potentials.
• Growing a newly formed team with the focus on development and operations of the dispatch optimization.
• Having multiple market access partners, power suppliers, and being responsible for the operational as well as the contractual side for all European markets, is at the core of the tasks.
• Manage key stakeholders by using data analytics and strong communication skills.
• Close collaboration with internal stakeholders in our Headquarters and the local teams.

Your profile

• Several years of experience in power sourcing / hedging / optimization as e.g. Sourcing Manager (m/f/d), Power trader (m/w/d), Portfolio Manager (m/w/d), Energy Trader (m/w/d) or in a similar role with a deep knowledge of the power market in Europe.
• Proven ability to build an optimization platform including all EDRI asset classes.
• Having built and managed a team of individuals is a competence which is needed.
• Capability to create a clear strategic plan with focused initiatives and a proven track record in implementation with a hands-on approach.
• Strong analytical, forecasting skills combined with a high business acumen and an accurate way of working.
• Flexible, open minded and adoptive team player (m/f/d) with a positive attitude, strong solution orientation and the desire to help shape the dynamic and changing industry of eMobility.
• Demonstrated growth and learning mindset as well as motivation to support colleagues with input and as a sparring partner for projects.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English with the natural talent to quickly build a network within EDRI.
