YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the technical superintendents in nautical questions and problems
• Help in the area of cargo handling and compatibility clarifications and collaborate in selecting nautical and bridge equipment including problem solving
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures within our ISM, ISPS, vetting management and quality management system focussing on navigation and cargo
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure and maintain the effective implementation and compliance with international law requirements as well as customer requirements within the areas of quality management, safety, security and environmental protection
• Support in maritime insurance administration
• Being part of the emergency response team and administration

REQUIREMENTS:

• Certificate of competency as Navigational Watch Officer or higher
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Experience within tanker shipping sector beneficial
• Knowledge in maintaining, implementing and executing of quality management systems advantageous
• Experience in environmental protection systems beneficial
• Certification as internal auditor (ISM / ISPS / MLC) advantageous
