Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Linux-based systems and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Linux environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Linux systems with other technologies.
• Develop and automate processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Linux and related fields.
• Participate in the continuous improvements of our IT security measures.
• Perform regular security audits and hardening of systems in accordance with industry best-practices.
• Contribute to general operational IT activities such as monitoring and on-call duty.
• Simply automation!

Who We're Looking for:

• Proven experience as a Linux Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced environment with topic ownership.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Independent Thinker, Team Player: Someone who can think for themselves and follow directions when needed. Collaboration is key!
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Operational experience and customer centric mindset.
• Reliable, flexible and a high security awareness.
• Support in basic data center maintenance.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
• Knowledge of IT-Infrastructure Management (e.g., Red Hat Satellite).
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
• Optional: Previous experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
• Fluent English, German optional.
