Release Manager (m/f/d) - Enterprise Banking

XALT Business Consulting is an Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner specializing in enterprise IT transformation. We support organizations like Deutsche Bank, BSH, AXA, and Deutsche Börse in building secure, scalable, and sustainable IT delivery processes — from DevOps and platform engineering to regulatory compliance.

TASKS

• Manage and coordinate complex product deliveries in a highly regulated banking environment
• Own change approval workflows and release processes (e.g. airfocus, ServiceNow, Jira)
• Implement and optimize feature flagging strategies for safe, controlled deployments
• Coordinate agile teams across multiple levels (SAFe, Scrum of Scrums) with end-to-end delivery oversight
• Lead a team of ~10+ people in a collegial, hands-on management style
• Bring your technical GCP understanding actively into delivery decisions
• Act as the bridge between Engineering, Product, and Compliance

REQUIREMENTS

Must-have:

• 7–10+ years delivering complex software products, ideally in banking or highly regulated environments
• Proven experience with change management tooling (ServiceNow, Jira or airfocus)
• Knowledge of feature flagging and modern release management practices
• Experience with scaled agile (SAFe, Scrum of Scrums or equivalent)
• Leadership experience: managed teams of 10+ people
• Hands-on GCP understanding
• Professional English (fluent)

Nice-to-have:

• GCP Professional Architect or equivalent certification
• Java / Spring background
• German language skills a plus
• Financial sector compliance experience (BaFin, EBA)
