Finance Manager- Part Time (20 hours/wk)

We're looking for a detail-oriented, self-starting Finance Manager to own the day-to-day financial operations of a fast-moving deep-tech startup. You'll work directly with the CEO and external partners across the full scope of company finance.

TASKS

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice & banking: payments, reconciliation, end-of-month close, Finway management
• Grant administration (ProFit/IBB): milestone reporting, timesheets, fund-call submissions
• Cash flow: monthly projections vs. budget, department tracking, runway monitoring
• Payroll: coordinate with external provider, process payments, manage onboarding/offboarding
• Financial reporting: primary contact for external accountants, annual statement support, shareholder documentation
• FZulG tax credit: prepare and submit R&D tax credit applications, liaise with authorities

REQUIREMENTS

What We're Looking For

• Completed Ausbildung or degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Solid knowledge of German accounting standards and payroll requirements
• Familiarity with DATEV, Finway, or similar tools preferred
• German grant/funding administration experience a strong plus
• Fluent German; working-level English
• Highly organised, independent, proactive — comfortable owning problems in a small team
