Senior SRE Engineer - Berlin (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Senior SRE/DevOps engineer to join our platform team and help us to build reliable and secure systems that improve our customer's experience. If you have a background in Linux, automation tools, containerization, CI/CD, and you’re familiar with cloud providers, we’d like to meet you.

TASKS

• Developing and maintaining infrastructure which is business intelligence friendly with minimal drift
• Support other engineering teams to automate the application lifecycle and design CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure monitoring of systems and components
• Analyse and resolve the root cause of production issues in direct interaction with the customer support team and write postmortems
• Develop scripts to automate the day-to-day tasks to reduce the toil
• Mentor and support Junior Engineers in the team with knowledge and experience.
• Together with other engineers, you will share an on-call rotation

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps role
• Strong experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Infrastructure Automation – Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, Packer
• Strong experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong Linux experience
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios, checkmk, New Relic, Grafana, Loki, or ELK Stack
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Expertise in designing cost effective production infrastructure with special attention to high-availability, failover, scaling and security
• Building great things with your team is your passion and you don’t shy away from challenges
• Taking Ownership and reliability is a priority for you
• Kubernetes Experience is a plus
• Some experience with Node.js, Go, and Python is a big plus
