Head of Electronic Products (m/w/d)

To support the ongoing expansion of our activities in space electronics and laser‑based instrumentation, we are looking for a professional to strengthen our Electronics division. Join us in developing innovative, reliable, and high‑performance electronic systems for international space missions.

YOUR TASKS

• Strategic Leadership: Defining the technical roadmap, setting product vision, and conducting market research to guide development
• Product Development & Design: Leading the design and testing of electronic subsystems and components, including PCB development, electrical engineering, and hardware-software integration
• Team Management: Mentoring junior engineers, hiring, setting performance targets, and managing cross-functional R&D teams
• Proposals: Coordinating the preparation of proposals for existing electronics products and for the development / manufacturing of new space electronics designs
• Budget & Project Management: Preparing project budgets, tracking and optimizing, as well as managing timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
• Compliance & Quality Control: Ensuring all products meet safety regulations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Manufacturing & Production Support: Collaborating with manufacturing teams, managing production quality, and ensuring smooth scaling from prototype to mass production
• Stakeholder Communication: Reporting on progress to stakeholders and coordinating with other departments (mechanics, software, marketing).

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Master’s degree in Electronics or a related field
• In‑depth knowledge of institutional / commercial space project lifecycles
• Strong familiarity with ECSS standards
• Proven experience in space electronics design and verification
• Hands‑on, proactive, and solution‑oriented mindset, resilience, pragmatism and flexibility
• Team player with good organisational and communication skills within an international team
• Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and leadership competence
• Motivational and collaborative leadership style that fosters engagement and high performance
• Fluent in English – good knowledge of German would be a definite advantage.
