Legal Counsel - Parental Leave Cover: Energy (m/f/d)

Our client operates in the energy and infrastructure sector, delivering complex, high-value projects in a highly regulated environment. Legal plays a central role in how the business operates - from commercial contracting through to compliance, governance and risk.

They’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join a strong, collaborative in-house legal team on a parental leave cover. You’ll handle a broad range of commercial and corporate legal matters, working closely with stakeholders across the business and providing clear, practical legal advice that supports day-to-day decision-making.

It’s a hands-on role with real responsibility, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the backing of a team that values clarity, ownership and good judgement.

TASKS

• Be the first point of contact for legal issues across sales, procurement, disputes, corporate governance and compliance.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and legal documents that protect the business.
• Provide clear, commercial legal advice to internal stakeholders - not just risks, but pragmatic solutions.
• Drive compliance with laws, internal policies and contractual obligations across the business.
• Maintain and refine Terms & Conditions, flag risk, and put mitigation in place.
• Manage and coordinate external lawyers when specialist input is needed.
• Support corporate governance and statutory legal obligations

REQUIREMENTS

• A German-qualified lawyer (Volljurist/in) with strong commercial experience in a corporate legal environment (contracts, compliance, corporate law).
• Excellent communicator - you explain legal issues without jargon and get buy-in.
• Comfortable working in an international team with a proactive, structured approach.
