(Senior) Platform Engineer (f/m/d)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking an experienced (Senior) Platform Engineer to join our team and contribute to the reliability and scalability of our cloud-based services.

In this role, you'll play a key part in building and maintaining shared internal developer platforms and self-service tooling, so engineering teams can move quickly without having to reinvent infrastructure or governance for each team.

You'll focus on the architecture, design, automation, and delivery of core infrastructure and network components that sustain our various products.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Design, automate, maintain and optimize network, infrastructure, platforms, databases, CI/CD workflows and tools
• Continuously collaborate with Product, Engineering, Delivery and Site Reliability teams and constantly adapt our infrastructure for new features and services
• Ensure that platforms are up-to-date and always right-scaled (technically and financially) to absorb the load. We handle millions of requests a day
• Ensure systems reliability on a 24x7x365 basis: our customer systems are critical and always on
• Work in close relationship with other team members to promote the best practices, runbooks and operational procedures

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Proven experience of Platform Engineering, preferably with a SaaS company, with a focus on CNCF technologies like Linux (Ubuntu) and Kubernetes
• Proven experience in setting up and designing large-scale distributed systems
• Expertise in Cloud-based online services (AWS, Azure, OVHcloud ...)
• Strong expertise in IaC and CasC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Helmfile ...) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, FluxCD, ArgoCD ...)
• Familiarity with database management (PostgreSQL) and optimization (knowledge on self-managed DBs and global scaling, replication and sharding is a plus)
• Be ready to be part of team's 24x7 on-call shifts
• Excellent English skills
