As the Men Design Lead, you are responsible for leading the menswear design team and translating the creative direction into a cohesive, brand‑aligned menswear collection. The role ensures that the overall look & feel of the collection reflects C&A’s creative vision, consumer strategy, and brand DNA.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads the menswear design team and translates the Creative Direction into the overall look & feel of the menswear collection
• Focuses on menswear market trends, catwalk, styling, colors, and print direction across men’s categories
• Finalizes backwalls in line with the Creative Direction and ensures color & story flow into the menswear collection
• Finalizes key looks for GTM coordination together with merchandising and aligns on collection must‑haves
• Safeguards the collection handwriting, trims, design attributes, and ensures that the apparel and accessories categories align in silhouette, color, and quality
• Guarantees the outfit‑building proposition across all menswear categories
• Ensures category teams integrate menswear collection needs in collaboration with the sustainability team
• Aligns closely with the Concept & Innovation Lead on creative direction evolution, backwalls, and market insights
• Partners with Merchandising Leads on business needs in terms of seasonal flow, bestsellers, product statements, etc.
• Aligns with Technical Leads on general fit initiatives to ensure silhouette consistency and fit accuracy across all menswear garments

WHAT YOU BRING

• Minimum of eight years’ experience in fashion design, ideally in menswear
• Experience leading and mentoring design teams
• Proven ability to translate creative strategy into actionable design direction
• Strong understanding of menswear fashion‑design principles, market trends, silhouettes, styling, colors, and print direction
• Ability to translate macro catwalk and market trends into specific menswear consumer needs
• Strong capability to ensure cross‑category alignment for a coherent menswear collection
• Skilled in collaborating with merchandising, planning, and product development to secure commercial viability
• High fluency in color flow, storytelling, outfit building, trims, and menswear‑specific design attributes
• Strong communication and leadership skills to guide design teams and align diverse stakeholders
• Proven experience in delivering cohesive collections that align with brand handwriting and consumer needs
• Proficiency in PLM systems and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with AI‑based design tools is an advantage
