ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a surgical resident, you will be involved in both inpatient and outpatient care. Your duties include assisting in diagnostic procedures, participating in surgeries under supervision, managing postoperative care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

You will also take part in clinical rounds, case discussions, and contribute to the development of follow-up care plans. Participation in on-call duties is part of the role, offering valuable experience in emergency surgical situations.

TRAINING AND SUPERVISION

This residency position offers structured training aligned with German medical education standards. You will receive mentorship from senior surgeons and have access to continuous educational opportunities, including workshops, seminars, and a central medical library.

ON-CALL DUTIES

You will be part of the hospital’s on-call rotation, gaining practical experience in managing urgent surgical cases and coordinating care during emergencies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid medical license (Approbation) in Germany
• Strong commitment to learning and professional development
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Respectful and empathetic interaction with patients and colleagues
• Basic IT proficiency
• Compliance with mandatory immunizations against SARS-CoV-2 and measles
