ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Junior Physician (m/w/d) to join a well-established hospital in the Cologne metropolitan area, renowned for its comprehensive care in child and adolescent mental health. This position offers an excellent opportunity for physicians who have completed their medical licensing (Approbation) and are eager to advance their expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry through a structured residency program. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide compassionate and individualized care to both inpatient and outpatient children and adolescent patients presenting with a variety of psychiatric conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
  • Participate actively in on-call and duty rotations, contributing to 24/7 patient care coverage in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary case discussions and contribute to the development of therapeutic strategies tailored to the needs of young patients and their families.
  • Support therapeutic interventions, including psychopharmacological management under supervision and involvement in psychosocial therapies.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Medical degree with valid German medical licensure (Approbation).
  • Strong motivation to pursue specialist training in child and adolescent psychiatry (Facharztweiterbildung).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, showing empathy, cultural sensitivity, and excellent communication skills.
  • Self-driven, organized, and solution-oriented approach to clinical challenges and patient care.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to participate in educational programs and case conferences.
