SENIOR PSYCHIATRIST / OBERARZT (M/W/D) FOR PSYCHIATRY AND PSYCHOTHERAPY IN THE COTTBUS AREA

ABOUT THE POSITION

We represent a respected hospital in the Cottbus region currently seeking a Senior Psychiatrist / Oberarzt (m/w/d) specializing in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. This is a permanent position offering direct employment with the hospital. YOUR PROFILE

• Board-certified specialist in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (m/w/d)
• Experience in treating affective disorders, anxiety disorders, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) for patients with personality disorders is preferred
• Excellent command of German (minimum C1 level)
• Independent, responsible, and structured working approach
• Strong leadership qualities and clinical expertise
• High resilience and excellent communication skills
• Commitment to advancing clinical practices and quality standards
• Empathetic and team-oriented in interactions with patients, relatives, and colleagues
• Enthusiasm for mentoring and training medical staff within the department

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading the inpatient psychiatric unit as Senior Psychiatrist / Oberarzt
• Conducting senior-level ward rounds and case discussions
• Supervising and guiding junior doctors and therapists in training
• Facilitating interdisciplinary and external cooperation with healthcare partners
• Planning and overseeing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Managing patient admissions and regular ward rounds
• Providing clinical supervision to medical, psychological, and therapeutic personnel
• Developing and enhancing treatment concepts and team collaboration
• Advising and informing patients and their families
• Coordinating with administrative bodies and complementary care providers
• Participating in on-call and telephone consultation duties
• Contributing to professional development and continuing education initiatives
• Involvement in departmental budget planning and quality management
