About us

BUYA and REI bring two distinct Japanese dining concepts to Berlin-Kreuzberg. BUYA focuses on homemade ramen and Japanese small plates, while REI combines contemporary izakaya dining with signature cocktails and selected sake. Both restaurants offer a relaxed atmosphere with a strong focus on food and hospitality.

We are looking for a reliable dishwasher / kitchen porter who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a busy restaurant team.

TASKS

• Wash dishes, glassware, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
• Operate the dishwasher correctly and keep the dishwashing area clean.
• Return clean items to their designated storage areas.
• Support the kitchen team with cleaning and basic preparation tasks as needed.
• Dispose of waste correctly and follow hygiene and food safety procedures.
• Help with cleaning duties at the end of each shift.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a dishwashing or kitchen support role is a plus.
• A reliable, thorough and organised approach to work.
• The ability to handle a physically active role and maintain a steady pace during busy shifts.
• A team-focused attitude and willingness to help.
• Sufficient English to understand instructions and communicate with colleagues.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
