About us

BUYA and REI bring two distinct Japanese dining concepts to Berlin-Kreuzberg. BUYA focuses on homemade ramen and Japanese small plates, while REI combines contemporary izakaya dining with signature cocktails and selected sake. Both restaurants offer a relaxed atmosphere with a strong focus on food and hospitality.

We are looking for an experienced waiter or waitress with a warm personality, an eye for detail and a passion for excellent service.

Welcome guests. Make their evening.

You help guests settle in, find their new favourite dish and enjoy their time with us. From the first welcome to the final goodbye, you keep your section running smoothly and work closely with the kitchen and bar. When the pace picks up, you stay attentive, organised and ready to support your team.

TASKS

• Welcome guests and provide attentive, professional table service.
• Explain the menu and make food and drink recommendations.
• Take orders accurately and communicate dietary requirements and allergy information to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently and coordinate with your colleagues.
• Handle payments and guest requests professionally.
• Prepare your section for service and maintain a clean, welcoming dining area.

REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable restaurant service position.
• Completed vocational training in hospitality or gastronomy is an advantage.
• Fluent English is essential.
• An interest in Japanese food and drinks; relevant knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a warm, guest-focused approach.
• Reliability, attention to detail and the ability to stay composed during busy service periods.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to support your team.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
