For our location in Schönefeld, we are looking for a:
Strategic Purchaser (m/f/d)
You take ownership of our procurement activities—balancing strategic sourcing with hands-on execution to ensure cost efficiency, supplier performance, and operational reliability. You act as a key partner to internal stakeholders and suppliers, driving transparency, process improvements, and data-driven decision-making across the procurement function.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives
- Manage end-to-end sourcing processes including RFQs, negotiations, and purchasing decisions
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring
- Take ownership of daily procurement operations, ensuring efficiency, speed, and transparency
- Drive process optimization and digitalization within procurement, including introduction of tools and systems
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Legal, IT, and other departments
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve performance
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Several years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Proactive, structured, and ownership-driven mindset
- Experience with procurement tools and systems
- Fluent in English and at least B2-level German
- Valid driving license
