Doctoral Researcher in Computational Neuroimaging(m/f/d)

We are looking for a doctoral researcher in computational neuroimaging with a focus on neuroimaging genetics and transcriptomics to join the research group of Prof. Dr. Christine Ecker in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Goethe University Hospital in Frankfurt am Main. The successful applicant will be involved within the LOEWE Center DYNAMIC (Dynamic Network Approach of Mental Health to Stimulate Innovations for Change), which is funded by the State of Hesse.

Conduct state-of-the-art research into the molecular underpinnings of mental health conditions and work as part of DYNAMIC and several ongoing European research collaborations, combining basic research with clinical applications.

Develop novel analytical frameworks for integrating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data with genetic transcriptomic data to enhance network-based approaches for stratifying mental health conditions.

Apply techniques to existing and newly acquired large-scale cohorts (clinical and non-clinical) to stratify mental health conditions for personalized medicine approaches.

Master’s degree in bioinformatics, computer science, biomedical engineering, or computational neuroscience with an interest in big data analytics

Strong programming skills in R, C++, Python, or MATLAB

The ideal candidate has knowledge in (i) machine learning, (ii) MRI data analysis, and/or (iii) expertise in conducting genetic analyses, e.g. genome-wide association studies (GWAS).

Due to legal regulations, a valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required.
